Earlier in the week, the plan to make up for lost instructional time was communicated by Gwinnett County Public Schools. The points below summarize how that plan will impact our students. Please let us know if you have any questions.
The school system will use its three built-in make-up days: February 17, March 14, and May 22 (last day of school).
The remaining four days will be made up by extending the school day by 30 minutes for 48 days. This means that all schools will dismiss a half-hour later than their regular time, from March 3 through May 14. Beginning next Monday, March 3rd, Moore Middle will dismiss at 4:30 PM. The new schedule will be in place through May 14th.
