Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) has earned the reputation as a high-performing school district that provides a quality and effective education for every student. To sustain this success, the school district must continuously review where it is and envision what the district must be in the future. In 2014, GCPS is revisiting its vision, mission, and strategic goals.

Please take this online survey and be a part of our work to ensure GCPS continues to be on course for future success.

Snow Make Up Days and Extended Days

Earlier in the week, the plan to make up for lost instructional time was communicated by Gwinnett County Public Schools. The points below summarize how that plan will impact our students. Please let us know if you have any questions.

  • The school system will use its three built-in make-up days: February 17, March 14, and May 22 (last day of school).
  • The remaining four days will be made up by extending the school day by 30 minutes for 48 days. This means that all schools will dismiss a half-hour later than their regular time, from March 3 through May 14. Beginning next Monday, March 3rd, Moore Middle will dismiss at 4:30 PM. The new schedule will be in place through May 14th.

Inclement Weather Information

Weather can be unpredictable and an uncertain weather forecast on the late night news is not the time to start thinking about inclement weather and its impact on our schools and offices. Take a minute to refamiliarize yourself with the "how" and "why" when it comes to GCPS and bad weather.
